I was fighting a killer headache all day today. I kept pushing thru as I am going away for the weekend tonight (yeah!!) and has somethings I needed to get done (ie: laundry, packing, a few work things, school) and somethings I wanted to do (ie: hang out with my kids, play outside, run)...so, I am brave little soldier and, as I said, kept pushing through.
Well, as the day went on, I modified somethings, such as I walked instead of ran (oh how a headache loves a run!), I read to them instead of doing a craft, etc.
School came around, things were ok....and suddenly, out of nowhere, the headache was becoming a migraine. If I didn't lay down that minute, I would defiantly throw up.
I laid down and was able to sleep on and off for about 1.5 hours when I could not lay down anymore...duty called full blast in the form of 4 children calling for me. (actually, the older 3 were doing great just playing, but Trigg woke up and well, he has enough voice for 4!) I got up, still felt miserable, so I called in the reinforcements:
Jennifer, Mom, Rachel and of course, my little Ella. I asked them to pray for me b.c it was a bad one.
Prayers were said
God answered
and BOOM my headache was gone
within minutes
I am not even kidding
so, I guess when I say prayer totally doesn't work...I am really full of sassy sarcasm! =)
(and on a side note...if HE cares that much for my tiny little problem such as a headache...how much more does HE care for the hurts of our heart???? just a thought...)

Super cool. Isn't it great when God answers our prayers in the way we want? [smile] So nice.
